Responsible Gaming
Adults only
Apps on the Yono Games list are for adults aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, please do not install or use them. Parents can help by checking which apps are on a shared family phone, using Google Play’s parental controls, keeping “Install unknown apps” switched off and not saving payment details on devices children use.
Know the law first
India’s Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 restricts online money games. States may have their own rules too. Before you deposit in any app, check how the law applies to you. Responsible play starts with making sure you are allowed to play for money at all.
Treat it as paid entertainment
Money games are designed so that, over time, players as a group pay in more than they take out. Bonuses, near-miss animations and countdown timers are built to keep you playing. If you choose to play where it is lawful, think of what you spend as the price of entertainment, like a cinema ticket, not as a way to earn.
Practical limits that work
- Set a monthly budget before you open any app, from money left after rent, bills, food and savings. Never use borrowed money.
- Set a time limit for each session and use your phone’s digital wellbeing or screen-time timer to enforce it.
- Remove saved payment details so every deposit takes a deliberate step.
- Use UPI limits in your payment app where available.
- Do not chase losses. A bigger bet or a fresh deposit to win back what you lost usually makes the loss larger.
- Withdraw winnings when you reach the minimum rather than letting them become stakes again.
- Avoid playing when tired, upset, after drinking or late at night.
- Keep a record of deposits and withdrawals. Seeing the total each month is a strong reality check.
Warning signs
Gaming may be becoming a problem if you:
- Spend more money or time than you planned, again and again.
- Hide your playing or your spending from family.
- Borrow money, use savings or skip bills to keep playing.
- Feel restless or irritable when you try to stop.
- Play to escape stress, loneliness or low mood.
- Keep thinking about winning back losses.
Taking a break
Most apps offer some way to close or pause an account; look in account settings or ask support in writing. You can also uninstall the app, switch off “Install unknown apps”, delete the APK file and remove UPI mandates linked to it. Telling a trusted friend or family member what you are doing makes the break easier to keep.
Where to get help
Tele-MANAS, the national mental health helpline of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, offers free, confidential support by phone at 14416 or 1-800-891-4416, in several Indian languages. You can call it about stress, anxiety or problems with gaming and money. If you have lost money to a scam, the 1930 cyber fraud helpline and the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in, run under the Ministry of Home Affairs, can take your complaint. In an emergency, call 112.
Our part
Yono Games does not encourage anyone to deposit. Every money-game profile mentions the law, the 18+ limit and budgets, and we do not publish “tricks” or predictors that promise wins.
